You are not alone at all. Though I did not meet my SO online, it is still a scary experience moving to a different country. We all have been through this and know the feelings associated with it.
I was the "Anna" in Carolyn's posts. Leslie, Pam and Carolyn all moved before I did. We all talked via ICQ on and on the phone before we moved, and a lot of our fears were phrased like "what the hell am I doing??" This is normal. I was terrified up to the last moment second guessing myself. When friends tell you to stay in the States it makes it even worse. I have been here now for over 3 years, and I am glad I moved here. It has not been easy. Learning a new language and culture can be tough. I am glad that I stuck it out though. I wouldn't trade this experience for anything.
