Well, it does, only on different dates, I have heard of it from my relatives there and also from some of my Canadian friends here, not to mention my own Canadian!!

canadian thanksgiving is the second monday in october, so a week from today. it's not as huge a holiday as the us, but we still have the big turkey dinner.

Woo-hoo! This thread is ON FIRE (literally, check out the icon!) Glad to know everyone is sharing their recipes here!
Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. Good food, family, and NO PRESENTS!!! I get really homesick. It is also right near my bday (Nov 21) so I always miss my parents and sister then....

Dawn, My favorite Aunt's birthday was Nov. 21. She died in '86 due to ovarian cancer. , so I always miss her around Thanksgiving. She always came over our house for Thanksgiving dinner and always lit up the room. She was everyone's favorite aunt. (Even to those whom she wasn't related! : She was such a great person, so since you share her birthday, I'm sure you are too!
