Anders said at one time, women canned veggies and stuff and I've seen the large stoneware crocks for pickling herring and stuff, but I'd love to get a hold of a large canning pot with rack for jars, the jars and rubber ring seals. Anybody know if they're available in this country anybody?
I want some of my own garlic dill pickles, spiced pears and bread and butter pickles!

I believe you can get canning stuff here in BorĂ¥s at Ekohallen. I have did see some glass jars with the rubbereals at Coop here last year and when we lived in Ulricehamn they had them at Konsum.
Guess if you come down here you can go to those places.

We have an Eko in Halmstad. I'll have a look there this weekend for those and the pot. We just got a Jula store down the road from Eko so I can check there too. I wouldn't mind doing some canning myself.

I want to do some REAL pickles, with lots of garlic and those hot crushed red peppers, as well as my mom's bread and butter pickles AND spiced pears, where you can the pear halves with a syrup that has cinnamon and cloves in it, mmmmmmm.
