Anybody who really loves this stuff the way I do, Coop Forum has actually come out with their own brand of nacho chips and they are BETTER and fresher than Old El Paso or Santa Maria, and even better than that, they're about 15 SEK a bag cheaper as well for just about the same amount. I haven't tried their other stuff yet, but I notice they have flour tortillas and taco sauce and I'm wiling to give it a try. I know some stuff doesn't measure up, but I was really impressed by how crisp and fresh and tasty these chips were.

I've seen it Coop's stores ... thanks for the heads up.
I do remember serving natcho's to swedes the first time they were in the store ... they loved it. So many things food wise have changed/come to Sweden since I've moved.

Boy, haven't they just? And have the prices come down too. I remember when I first moved here, a kilo bag of frozen boned, skinned chicken breasts were nearly 100 SEK and now I can get them on sale, same brand and everything for about 59 SEK, sometimes less.

ICA stark salsa is better than the others....at least on my eggs in the morning.

With regards to Coop, they have a new brand for many of their items. The brand is called "Coop Extra" it is a generic store version of name brand things. We have tried their bargain brand canned corn, chips and some other items and they taste the same or better than the name brands plus they are about 20% cheaper.

They are adding on to our Konsum store (it should be open in May) and have begun putting in the Coop brand. I definitely agree that it is as good or better than most of the others. I spoke to the manager about putting in an American shelf when they are done with the remodeling. It was great fun trying to clarify it to him in Swedish. I did manage to get it across to him that it is kind of a pre-made thing and that they have them at the larger ICAs and Coops. He said that he gets to Trollhattan fairly often and will check it out. I am one happy camper! ;D I'll be even happier if he actually does get it in!
