I have noticed that posting about the current war and world situation on this board has been avoided. I suppose that this is so because no one wants this board to turn into a political firestorm and name calling.
I sure don't want to start that either, I just wanted to say that a 19 year old American female POW was rescued today from a Iraqi command center/hospital. Special forces of Seals, Rangers, and Air Force pilots got her out alive during a night raid amid gunfire both going in and coming out. She survived when 11 others did not, presumably they were tortured to death. 5 of those people made newspaper headlines with their faces on front pages. I can only imagine what she must have gone through seeing those others and wondering if she would die as well.
Her rescue is a real testament of selflessness, those soliders who risked their own lives for someone they didn't even know.
