Maybe Anders would go with you to the one at Skansen. I do know what it is like having a grump about Chrtistmas. I live with the Grinch as well. As soon as I even mention Christmas lights he rolls his eyes and buries his head in the paper.

But as Carolyn says, it's YOUR home as well, so I think you can have a say in how it is decorated. The first two Christmases here, I went along with Scrooge and his decorating ideas, all the time longing for something better.

I saw how others decorated, so last year I decided to do something about it myself. I bought lights, hauled out the decorations we had in the attic, bought candles, christmas moss, glögg, julstjärna and set about making it look cosy and welcoming. Believe me, he was thrilled with the result and this year I have no trouble getting him to help me out.

There is also a Julmarknad at Sigtuna that is very popular. And this is a gorgeous town as well. It seems that most kommuner have a market, so perhaps look locally and see what you come up with.

You are always welcome to come here to Nynäshamn. That way the two grinches can stay at the apartment and we can go ourselves and potter around. I'm hoping it will snow before then, as it makes the market look so pretty

Sabeine, have you gotten to a Julmarknad yet without the Grinch? We'll have an ongoing one here until Jul. Still haven't been in the mood or the weather hasn't been right or work has been too pressing, but I'm gonna go, I swear it!

No, I haven't gone. I don't I will be going either. I asked for many hours at work, and I am pretty much working as much as possible including every weekend until after the new year. I am off today.

Anders likes his Grinch status. It's a joke to him. The other day I was playing some Johnny Mathis, and he asked "why do we have to listen to THIS?"

I think next year instead of hanging the ornaments on the tree, I'll throw them at him. Whichever ones stick to him he can wear them then! ;D
