I am going to study Swedish culture with my students on Friday after the Lucia procession (jJulpyssel is NOT an option!) My students are 11 years old.
Anyhow...I could use some idea for research subjects that they can do research on, make a visual, and present to the class. They will have Internet access and several hours.
Any ideas?
I was thinking of: authors: Astrid Lundgren, Stringberg, Möhlberg artists: Larsson, Milles
HELP!

Evert Taube, the writer who captured the true spirit of the Swedish folk. Sören Jakobson and Anders ?, the authors of the Sune books. Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus (more than just ABBA, you know). Some of the glass artists with Kosta Boda.

Well, I think the problem with people like Ingrid Bergman and Greta Garbo is that they had their greatest fame and contribution within the American movie industry and most people in Sweden would get a little snobbish and consider that what they did in the States isn't really "culture"! I think that with the exception of one or two times when she was old, Ingrid Bergman never worked in the Swedish film industry after going to the States, and I know that Garbo, except for very secretive visits to family, never returned here, either to work or to live. She is, however, buried in Stockholm.

Who is the female artist that her paintingss appear on Christmas Cards??? seems to me I saw something in Kalmar about her ...Christiana (name draws a blank)
