My husband had a splendid and very quick recovery. I'm the one that got more stressed, I think, but he's had no further seizures and I hope it will stay that way. Thank you for asking and I hope your mother will show a recovery too.

Hi! God Jul! Glad to hear he is well. What a terrible shock to go through but at least he is well. Hopefully it will not return. My mother is not fine. She has three blockages in her left side plus one near her kidneys. The artery walls have thickened and there is no blood circulation in her lower leg. They fear a stroke or a life threatening attack very soon and she is not a candidate for a bypass as she is a diabetic and a small wound she had during her flight from Malaysia to US in July has spread out to about 4cm x 4cm behind her ankle and about 2cm deep. Sadly she is only 64, has never smoked or had alcohol and a vegetarian ....also never been over 65kg for her 5'4 height. I'm flying down when my sister returns to US after the doctors give their final word. Possible amputation or death...I dont know which is worse.
*sigh* This is kind of hard to take after just moving abroad. You kind of hope things at home will hold on until you get yourself on the feet and be of some use to them but after a couple of months....but thats a selfish view isnt it?

No, it's not selfish. You're hoping they'll hold out for their sake as well, and if you especially want things to go well there while you're away so that you can come back more easily, well that's for them, as well. You're making the trip when it's harder for you, and that's commendable.
My grandfather nearly died when I was in Sweden on my last visit, and it would've put me in debt to fly back, but you have to do what you have to do. He was, quite seriously, on his death bed and the doctors said he had a week at MOST ... this was over a year ago and now he's walking around and has regained his lost weight ... I can hope for the same for your mother, Angiebaby, and for Carolyn's man ... recovery does not have to be speedy, but hopefully it is complete.)
May you be blessed by good fortune for facing the challenges you are given to tackle in life.

Thank you everyone! I just feel so stressed out right now and feel completely useless both financially and physically. Anyway I guess something will happen. Thanks for your kind words.
