Hehe very interesting article. I read through it even though I have no idea how some sounds are supposed to "of course" lead to others. It's so complex! Which year is this, by the way? (As in Rabbit Tiger Cock etc) ... I used to keep up with these things very well but it's all fallen by the wayside. Whatever the year, yam seng to you, too

Yes, Carolyn, it is the year of the Monkey. I'm surprised to hear it called "Chinese New Year" though. I always thought of it as "Lunar New Year" - after all it isn't exclusive to the Chinese. Many other countries, especially in Asia celebrate it. I doubt the Koreans, Japanese, Vietnamese etc would call it "Chinese New Year" In Australia it is always called Lunar New Year (it co-incides with the second New Moon after the northern winter solstice). Like you, Vember, I used to keep up with the signs. The signs cover a 12-year period, but the complete zodiac embraces 60 years - believed by those who follow the calendar to be the end of man's ordinary life-cycle. According to these beliefs, people born in different year-cycles have different characters and personalities, some of which are compatible and some of which are not. These is a list of the years you can look at here. I see I was born in the year of the Dog. To see what characteristics it is believed you have, take a look at an explanation in Korean Zodiac.

Anders was born in the year of the Dog as well, and I'm a Tiger myself! ;D I think both descriptions fit pretty well.

Lars-Göran is a sheep! And boy does that description fit well I knew that Anders was a legend when I met him. We dogs know a thing or two about being legends. ;D I wonder if that is why Lambi liked him so much? Go Carolyn! A tiger... [/img]
