Maja's become an addict. She's now addicted to running and spinning, plus her school and job duties! I'll tell her people are asking after her and get her butt back and report on her progress.
Jersey Girl's around, I see her on ICQ, and she just sat and passed provet!

See... I forgot that this was a great place where people actually NOTICE when I'm missing *ahem* LOL Yay! I feel loved! Well, I'm here, I guess I've just been a bit busy with things lately. Time goes so freggin' fast it's crazy. Just today I was on the phone with Annie and we were talking about how last time we saw or spoke to each other was almost 2 weeks ago which is just crazy considering we live in the same city. Anyway, like Carolyn said, I finally had my Test C last week, and I did very well! I didn't get my results back yet, but I thought it was really easy. Now I'm waiting for them and my new hours towards the NP. Also, this morning was my interview at Migrationsverket. I did the ENTIRE thing in Swedish!!!! Yes, I'm in still in shock myself LOL Anyway, they put in my new visa as soon as the interview was over. So woo! I'm in for another year! ;D So I haven't dissapeared! I'm here! Just distracted. Thanks for asking about me!!!

Well it's good to hear that you are still here and doing well. Whenever someone doesn't post for a while I start to wonder if they moved or something. It sounds like you've been busy.
Anyone heard from Leslie? It sounds like Maja is busy too.
Also, where is Suzanne?

I was wondering about Suzanne, myself. We were planning on getting together when she was in Trollhattan over the holidays, but I never heard from her. I hope that all went well.

Okay, I can vouch for JerseyGirl. ;D I saw her in person this afternoon, along with Annie and Kitty Sue. What an awesome foursome we make. And btw Annie, I was wrong about the temperature in Adelaide today. 43C is in fact 109.4F. Even hotter than I thought. So maybe when Sabeine gets back from the States we can get together with others based in Stockholm and meet for fika or whatever. With the weather improving each day, it's easier to actually think about getting out and about.

Last time I was there with Sabeine, Bunny and husband showed us this great place at Nobeltorget in Gamla Stan where they had this coffee served in bowls with white chocolate in it and whipping cream, mmmmmm

That sounds good. I know that JerseyGirl is leaving for the States in a couple of weeks - getting back at the end of March so we can aim for after that if you like. Come up to Stockholm and check out the exhibition at Waldermarsudde and then we can stuff our faces dine elegantly in Gamla Stan. I'm sure we can rope in a few more for a fun day out.

Hi All, I'm so sorry for not keeping up and a major apology to Sandy for not finding her message in time to get together. One thing is for sure, Sweden is beautiful in the winter. There was a lot of snow which was fine with me. I got home and it -9 F and very windy in the "Windy City." We didn't really go anywhere and spent a wonderful New Year's Eve all dressed up and at home. When I got back in January, I mailed my application off and had my interview on February 4 just a couple blocks away from where I work in Chicago. The lady was really nice and I was surprised at how easy the interview was. The only question I didn't really have an answer for was "What was the name of the chat room where you met?" Don't get me wrong, I knew the answer but I wasn't quite ready to answer that one. I'm planning my move for around August 1st. It seems that lately I've been working like crazy to get my all of the work I have caught up before then. I'm not doing so well on the cleaning and moving part. I'm having a hard time getting rid of things. I imagine that should get easier as the time gets nearer. Suzanne

Heck, in the last week before the move, you'll throw your own kid out if they don't fit in the right box! ;D
and even though it seems like it's taking forever to hear about the approval, towards the end, you'll wonder where the time went and realize it's running too fast and there are still things left undone.
Just remember, be careful with phone calls to darling other, because most of us found ourselves turning into psychos before the move and screaming and crying at our husbands/sambos to "Just make them do something, damn it" when Migrationsverket wasn't moving fast enough.
