Hi Natooke, This is "hot off the press" or actually hot off my digital camera... Just half an hour ago, a new boat appeared in the guest harbour at Nynäshamn. "So what?" I hear you say. Well.... guess where it arrived from? Lunenburg, Novia Scotia! She is a Mariner 28 and is called I SHOULDN'D. I wanted to post this on CIS, but it won't let me post as a guest. And another picture is here. Feel free to use them... They were quite busy mooring and I didn't want to disturb them, but I intend to say hello in the morning. Canadians don't bite, do they?

Now that was a surpriise ;D I really thought it was a question about stain removal or how would I stop kids from taking over the house. Yesterdays weather looked warm & calm down at the harbour ... I hope you we're not standing a long time to wait for the flag to fly in the breeze. They sure are far from home. Lunenburg has a rich history & one is building tall ships. The scooner Bluenose appears on the back of the Canadian dime & in the harbour of Lunenburg is the Bluenose 2. I was in Halifax last October, 2 weeks after the area was hit by a Hurricane ... our intentions were to visit Lunenburg & Peggy's Cove ... however due to the storm it was recommed to stay away since the bordwalk was still being fixed. The maritimmers are a special kind of people their very much down to earth people ... so your chances Aussie of being biten are nil. Wish them happy & calm seas. These pictures will be posted on CIS under Canadian Sightings ;D with your credit. Cheers Natooke

Hi there,
Well, if you'd rather tell me your stain removal tips... ;D
No we didn't have to wait long for the breeze. It was a mild breeze, but it DID blow. When I saw the flag's colours I thought "Oh, Danish boat" and my husband said "No, I think it's Polish". You can imagine our surprise when it unfurled and we saw that Maple leaf (which, by the way is a fabulous flag!)
Yes, they are a long way from home. Living here, on the E4 of the Swedish east coast, we get to see a lot of foreign boats from (mostly) all over Europe. I have seen an American boat here and even an Australian boat (I was SO excited!). This is the first Canadian boat I've seen.
Unfortunately, it was gone when I went back yesterday. But we may see them again when they head back south.
