I know some of us are way up north and some are way down south. I know there are a few in the middle and in Stockholm, but what are our numbers? If you vote other, what country is other in?

We live in Småland ... not far from Växjö and an hours drive from Öland. We live smack dab in the Glasriket. www.glasriket.se/Småland has some very famous known Sweds, who are well known nation wide or internationaly. Astrid Lindgren Carl von Linne Garbo Ingvar Kamprad started IKEA to name a few.

Ah ha, so I'm the first of the northmen to check in. I know there's a decent number of us up here... I guess the cold and frigid weather makes for even warmer and friendlier guys, eh gals? Anyway it's not cold now, it's wonderful! In fact, what am I doing at the computer?

Närke here, one of the smaller but more beautiful counties, about equidistant between Stockholm and G'borg, north and south!

Carolyn,
"equidistant between Stockholm and G'borg, north and south!"
That was really interesting!
Well ladies, only seven votes so far though. I guess it'll take a while before everyone checks in.
This site may not be as active, but it's a lot more fun to come to! ;D
I guess I should've said that I'm from Gästrikland!

I phrased that badly. I didn't mean equidistant between north and south as well, nor did I mean that S and G were north and south of me as well, unless I've become totally directionless in my old age (anything's possible).

I'm from Northwest, Indiana (about 35 minutes out of Chicago, IL) but will be moving to Trollhättan in November. I think I voted for the correct place, Västergötland. If that's wrong, please feel free to correct me!

I'm originally from Adelaide in South Australia, but now live in Nynäshamn, a small archipelago town about 50km south of Stockholm. That puts me in Södermanland. You can read about Nynäshamn here.

Carolyn, Now I get it, you meant Stockholm being North and Göteborg south. Silly me!

If that's wrong, please feel free to correct me! You are correct, but I had to ask my husband to be sure! I'm from Dalsland, so I guess we are the two represented from that choice. ;D

I'm in Halland. About an hour to Gothenburg in one direction and a little less than an hour to Helsingborg in another. For some reason the trip to Helsingborg has been made more often. Could it be because of the ferries and all they represent??? I bet some of you have heard of Ullared. We're about half an hour from there.
