Keynote Speakers
The theme of the VIIth IFSAM World Congress is Managing in a world of diversity and change and we have chosen three illustrious keynote speakers in view of that theme.
We have invited professor Anthony Hopwood, dean of the Said Business School of Oxford University, because he has been active in building academic networks across the many traditions of Europe . Especially the efforts to bring the academic accountants together in a European Accounting Association from 1976 onwards, and his commitment to the European Institute of Advanced Studies in Management (EIASM) must have given experiences of diversity that we may learn from.
We have invited professor Andrzej Kozminski, dean of the Leon Kozminski Academy of Entrepreneurship and Management, Warsaw because he has successfully led the development of a respected school of management education and research in an environment of fundamental changes in the institutional and economic conditions surrounding education and research in Poland . How do we establish a sense of stability when everything changes?
We have invited professor Barbara Czarniawska of the School of Economics and Commercial Law, Göteborg University because she has extensive experience from scholarly work in several countries (most of us have short visits) and she has published on organising action and the identities of organisations.
We have invited Hans-Olov Olsson, President and CEO at Volvo Car Corporation to talk about how to manage the brand against the background of diversity and change.
Workshop
Business Case for Women in Leadership
The theme for this workshop is "Women to the Top: Moving from Policy into Action".
Marie Trollvik, project manager of Women to the Top & Val Singh, Cranfield School of Management , Cranfield University , UK
