We are in the process of putting in a heated floor in our addtion/uterum ;D Would any of the members here have this kind of heating in their home? We have been talking about this ever since we added on to the house. … since it’s a great area we can lock the kids inside the house * laugh* Really I would like to hear about anyones renovation small or large.

We have this in our shower/relax room outside of the sauna.
We are also going to put it in the entrance in our cellar. It is where the kids come in the o´house for the most part, so it'll be great in the winter. They come in wet, throw off their wet jackets etc., and they'll dry even though they leave them on the floor! (Right now they throw them on the floor in the shower/relax room when they are wet!)
I love floor heat!

We don't have it but I'd like to. It feels so good under bare feet! We're renovating the kitchen just now.....STILL! hahaha It's been three weeks. My idea was to paint then paper then tile then do the ceiling then the floor. Mats prefers the cyclone method. He hangs a couple of sheets of wallpaper, goes and buys a box of nails, pulls out a light cord, gets on the phone and tells everyone how much he's accomplished, sets some boards in the middle of the floor and calls it a day. He has spun from one thing to another with such speed and lack of organization that he gave himself a migraine half way through. Okay, maybe it was ME who gave him the migraine. He informs me that Rome wasn't built in a day and I tell him that there was some woman bitching about THAT too. We're in the home stretch now. I'm going to stain the ceiling tonight and *plan* for him to finish hanging trim so I can touch up the paint and fix the brand new floor that he refused to put in last and dropped a nail gun on. And that's kitchen renovations by Mats and Pam. We have one bedroom left to do and the ugliest bathroom in Sweden. Hopefully after that we can rent this place out and buy a new one then start all over again!

We have heard nothing but great things about floor heating ... like Brandy suggested her kids even go as far as drying winter jackets etc ... same method as our kids thou I still think my family enjoys watching me have a hissy fit about picking it all up ... Just a light bulb moment here ... I could hand wash all my sweaters & dry them flat !!! Pam Peter is the opposite of Mats … he gets so gun how about a project that it’s on the borderline of hyperness. He has taken every belonging we own, out of this room & has removed the flooring. Only to find out the rental machine to cut the grove isn’t available until next week … so here we are with the furniture stacked in the living room, until he can make time from work (previously booked jobs) It will be nice eventually to have some order back.

We still have lots of tools and stuff in the middle of the livingroom and Mats went and bought new livingroom cabinets. I wanted them too but now?? hahaha So now it's building stuff, remaining kitchen stuff, old cabinets in the middle of the floor and the new cabinets on the wall and we discovered a bad place in one of the new ones so we have to get it OUT again. I'm right now taking a mini break from getting the old cabinets emptied so we can hopefully get them out today. He says he's finishing the trim in the kitchen so we can move the fridge from the middle of the floor. Holding my breath. Mats keeps telling everyone we'll have a party when we get the kitchen done. I butt in and tell them it will probably be a CHRISTMAS party!

OK I have nothing to bitch about then ... I don't have my fridge in the middle of the room. I'm sure Pam it's going to be nice to have a newer kitchen which Mats can clearly find all he needs to cook all the meals on the weekend ... I'm lucky my Peter loves to cook

Trim - done! Fridge - done! I've spackled and hung curtains. We may actually finish it all this week. I'm so excited. The kitchen is going to be cute when it's finished and I do love the new livingroom cabinets. Maybe we'll have that party before Christmas.

Wow you guys have some serious projects going on. When we moved in here we did a lot as well, bow we are burnt out on them and so the kitchen (that needs total painting on walls, cabinets and trim) is just sitting in it's state. Same with the hall. The bedrooms are done as is the living room, there are only a few details left like hanging pictures and such. Other than that they look good. The kitchen and hall however won't be done until after Christmas. We haven't decided that, it's just a feeling that I have...
Pam, I'm with you on the Christmas party. Ha Ha it will be the same for us.
