From a previous post. Apparently, this is an ongoing problem:  It has come to my attention that several people have had problems becoming a member here. For some reason the email that is supposed to be sent by the board host never comes. I have tried to sign up as a test member and the same thing happens. But after clicking on the text near the password box that says "forgot password?" the password is immediately sent. I am not sure why this is happening and will have to write to the support team to find out, but for now try this |

This is what I found so far on Proboards support ... I'll do a little digging too  Problems Logging In I login fine, but when I click a link it logs me out! Your browser is not accepting cookies properly. First check to make sure you have cookies enabled. Also, in Internet Explorer 6 you need to make sure that you have 3rd Party Cookies enabled. Your members need to enable cookies, tell them to do the following: Click on tools on the menubar on your browser Click on Internet Options on the drop menu On the window that pops up, click on the privacy tab Put the arrow and track so that the arrow is on low Click ok This will enable third party cookies: Click on tools on the menubar on your browser Click on Internet Options on the drop menu On the window that pops up, click on the security tab Click on the custom button On the little window that pops up, scroll down to where it says cookies, and make sure the radio button is in the enabled position Click save

The problem I had when we switched to the new posting forum was that I was unable to use my old name, "Anna". Instead I am using my name from Amerikanska.

I didn't get my password either. And I tried to do the thing for "forgot your password" but I didn't get that email either!!! I know when I signed up I made sure my email was correct. Do I have to sign up again? Or can the person who runs this board send it to me?

Oh I just put that name in as a guest when I was writing a post (becasue it asked for a name). I didn't register under a different name. I didn't think it automatically turned it into a username. But if it did, then I guess you should delete it!
