hello! im a mid-20s euro-asian girl originally from los angeles,california USA. ive just moved to göteborg from finland with my hubby & 2 lovely cats in august. i have absolutely no friends & know no one here in my new city! im very homesick & lonely & would like to meet anyone (foreign or swedes ladies or guys) that i can hang out with or talk english to or share my love for cats! please email me!

Welcome to the site. Moving in August is not really that long ago and it will, of course, take some time to make friends. Have you gotten registered for Swedish classes yet? Many of us have made our best friends by meeting people when we took our Swedish classes.
Also, Natooke's idea about joining the Friends of Gothenburg club is a good idea. I know an English lady there that's really sweet.

dear carolyn: im having immigration problems as i hold a finnish visa & therefore cant get registered for ANYTHING til i get a personbevis and a ID#. it will be awhile before attending ANY classes. im just waiting for my paperworks to arrive in my mailbox. my hubby & i r not really fans of sweden and we dont like its bureaucracy cos im going thru that now. everything is delayed...well im stuck here for some years so i have to accept that   i hope to go see my family and get out of here for some months when all my paperworks r ready cos all i do is cry everyday & am very lonely... thank u for suggesting IFG. ill probably join after i return from visiting my family overseas  |
