Okay, I miss the 'other' kisses so this is my first stab at making some at home. Recipe is likely to change as I make it a few more times.....and I WILL make it a few more times.
2 250 gr packages Cloetta block choklad 4 regular Marabou mjölk choklad bars 4 double Daim bars 2 dl roasted almonds 45 g (½ pkg) granulerad sylt paraffin
Melt block chocolate, Marabou bars and paraffin in a double boiler over med/low heat. Chop Daim bars and almonds in food processor. Add to melted chocolate. Pour onto a sheet of baking paper. Let the chocolate set up. This takes at least a couple of hours, overnight is best.
Tips Don’t get the chocolate too hot when you melt it, otherwise it won’t firm up again. I started with hot tap water and kept the burner setting on 3.
If you don’t want a whole pile of candy half the recipe.
If you only want chocolate with almonds leave out the Daim.
We don’t get roasted almonds at the store here. I usually buy a couple of bags at a time, spread them out on a baking sheet and roast slowly on low heat for at least two hours. Long and slow roasting tastes best.
