Hey All, Mats' niece was recently in America with us and just loved cinnamon rolls, even the canned kind. I found a recipe and tried it yesterday. For some reason I've had a complex about baking with yeast and had never tried anything before. The rolls worked fine and taste really good but I had one problem I need help with. The tops got really hard. Why did that happen? Too much sugar on top? Temperature too high? Anybody? I want to make them again and have them be perfect. All suggestions are appreciated.

My husband, master baker extrordinaire, said that maybe the temp was a bit too low and they were left too long in the oven. OR, that there was a bit too much flour. Was it kanel bullar that you made? I try to leave the dough as sticky as possible so that they will come out light and fluffy. But, I'm still learning too.
