I moved from Oregon to Kiruna in Sept. 2001. I think I'm adjusted. Sorta.

Does anyone know of a good place online to buy thank you cards in English? I am looking for someplace in Europe, Sweden would be great, but the UK would be fine as well. Just want to avoid those overseas shipping costs.
I need some fairly nice thank you cards to send out for wedding gifts plus some that aren't quite as nice but that are a little better quality than the Domus ones you find to send out as shower thank you cards. I'm not having any luck finding anything and my search engine skills aren't yielding any results either. I want them in English because only four will be sent to Swedish people so it makes the most sense to do them in English. On a completely different track, it is normal for people in Sweden to not send a card or gift if they don't go to the wedding? Mike invited several friends but we didn't receive any cards or anything from any of them. I just found it odd but thought maybe that was the norm here. Not that I'm greedy or anything, but it was just different from what I'm used to.
Thanks for any help! Carrie

I just use cards that say "tack" on the front or just some nice picture and then write my own note on the inside.
It takes a little longer, but it is more personal. It really makes the people who gave you a gift feel good because they know you would take the time to write a note, instead of just signing your name.
Just my opinion......

Hi Carrie, Just a thought You could order from extrafilm with your picture of choice on the card with envelops. With the printing you could have wedding bands & just both your names These are just like a post card, so at least you could write a personal message on the back. here's the link www.extrafilm.se/cards/info.aspp.s. drop by soon and tell us about the wedding

Thanks for the ideas, guys! I actually ended up asking my mom to just send some cards over from Hallmark or wherever she buys them. I do plan on putting a personal message in them--just wanted something a little nicer than Domus has to offer. The photo cards are a great idea and I was seriously considering doing it but wasn't sure how to go about it. I don't have that many good pictures from our digital camera (since I wasn't in charge of it--that's the problem with getting married, you can't be your own photographer) and don't have a scanner. I really need to figure out how to scan in our professional pictures though. One of these days. . . . I just wonder if they would turn out as good as prints off the digital camera do. I've never tried to get prints from a scanned picture. I'll post a little about the wedding on the General board in a little while. I've been meaning to do it but then never got around to it. I have all the digital pictures up at carrie-mike.diary-x.com
