My only son is getting married at the end of September. And of course, as mother of the groom I want to give a "blessing" to the couple during the ceremony. It will be a small and intimate wedding--held outdoors, at their new home, in the beautiful Rocky mountains. I don't really want a "toast" to the bride and groom. Rather something that is both traditionally Swedish and elegant (as elegant as I can be--through the happy Mom tears that I'll be wiping away *s*). Does that make sense? Does anyone know a couple lines that I could add to what I've got in mind? I'd like to say (or read) at least a part of my little blessing in Swedish. I know that some of you have recently married, so thought maybe someone would have a hint? If all else fails, maybe I'll be asking for help in the translation of what I already have ;D

Cakes are only as good as what you put in them.

I don't have any ideas, but you might try www.brollopstorget.sethere are a couple of forums and you'll hopefully be able to get some help there

I actually signed up here for advice on weddings in Sweden (I may post a request for what, specifically, I am looking for later) so this thread is quite nice.
Thank you both for the information herein.
