Do you mean those Kitchen-Aid kinds of mixers, or are you talking about a blender like for drinks?

I don't know much about these kinds of mixers since I don't have one myself. My Mom had a kitchen-aid and she loved it. I'm sure something else here can help you out with good alternatives.

Natooke,
I know they sell Kitchen Aides here in Sweden now. I've seen them advertised in magazines. I'm pretty sure they were about 4-5000SEK, so if you really like the kitchen aide....
Otherwise, I'm sorry, I have no clue, because I hate how the swedish assistent works. I've used them at the schools when helping in classes.
I personally am so in love with my kitchen aide, I made my husband buy a transformer and we installed the electrical lines and everything. (He also had tons of american tools, so it was much more economical than replacing everything.)
I wish you luck in your quest. Let us know what you opt for in the end.

Cakes are only as good as what you put in them.

Check in England. A friend just bought a KA there and it was way cheaper than here in Sweden, and that's including postage from England. I have my eye on this one.... it's a Hobart 20 quart....
