Has anyone come across this in Stockholm? It is called varq (sometimes vark) in Australia - those paper thin edible silver sheets used in Indian cooking. I need it for a really special dessert for Julafton.
At home, I used to buy it at Indian shops and also at craft suppliers. I've tried Himalaya Livs and the Asian Kitchen in Stockholm, but neither of them have it.
Can anyone suggest a place that might stock it?

Thankyou, thankyou Natooke! I'd also tried at Indiska and a couple of craft places in Gamla Stan, but nope. I'll hunt around and see what I come up with. My friend Shari would be happy to post me some from Oz, but I wanted to source it here if I could.
I'll post the recipe in the recipe section tomorrow (I'm flat out today!) - it's delicious and quite decadent. ;D
The edible silver leaf adds a lovely glittery, Christmas feel to it.

Cakes are only as good as what you put in them.

Thanks, Shelley.
I'll keep that link and use it next time as I like ordering on-line and saving the traipsing around. The Indian stores often have it, but were out of stock - of course when I needed it. Never mind. Still, it's far easier to have it sent from the UK than to waste time and money searching in Stockholm.
I did manage to get the silver leaf at a little craft place called Kerstins in Huddinge yesterday, so that was good. I was passing on my way to my mother-in-law's place and saw the shop and dropped in "on the off-chance" that they might have it and they did.
Thankyou for the help. It's always good to ask a question here - someone always seems to know the answer.
