I know I posted the link before on the old forum, but we have new people here too. I want to highly recommend Penzeys, the spice people. Their website is www.penzeys.com. You can find the freshest, most reasonably priced spices anywhere there, and they DO ship overseas, if you don't have friends you can utilize in the States. Mostly what is nice is you can find things there you can't find in Sweden, meat and fish rubs, corned beef spices to make your own, poultry seasoning. And they are very affordable, I think, especially if you order in the bags, not the jars (saves weight in shipping too). Another nice thing is they have some very good recipes listed. A couple things, if you use their spices, always use less than the amount called for because they are so incredibly fresh that if you use, for example, a full teaspoon of cinnamon, you are going to ruin your recipe because the cinnamon will take over. If you order gift packs from them, they pack the bottles nicely with extras like cinnamon sticks, bay leaves and whole nutmegs to cushion the package, and when your "giftee" gets the box, it smells lovely. They do a great selection of salad dressings to make up your own with, PLUS some great cheese sprinkle assortments for your popcorn, garlic bread, whatever. Bon appetit.
