Hi everyone, First dumb question from Marie! Can anyone tell me if there is a difference between kummin and spiskummin? I saw a recipe in this week's ICA specials sheet and it specified spiskummin. I asked my hubby but got the typical male "Jag vet inte!" response! ;D Thanks

Cakes are only as good as what you put in them.

Anna I was very surprised about you answer...well, actually I didn't believe you..., especially that bit about kummin being caraway. No way, I thought! So I just dashed into the kitchen and sniffed my jar of kummin, and YOU ARE RIGHT! ;D What a dill I am. Here I had thought I was so clever and bought it for my curry dishes. Okay, spiskummin is now added to my shopping list

And don't forget the gurkmaja (spelling, my Swedish letters don't work at the moment on the keyboard), but turmeric for the Indian dishes. I'm a HUGE fan of Indian food and do a lot of that type of cooking.
