Did this ever make it to Sweden? This movie was a real "sleeper" over here, cost about $3 million to make and has been running forever.
I've seen it twice and my dear husband, who HATES anything frivolous, loved it as well. He especially thought the lead actress and her mother (both plump women) were HOT, bless his heart.
Anyway, the heroine is NOT Hollywood, no plastic boobs and anorexic body, capped teeth, etc. and she gets John Corbett (for those of you who remember Northern Exposure, he was the D.J. "Chris in the morning", yum).
Incidentally, USA Today, in their story on the surprise success of this film, also mentioned that the sales of Windex increased this summer (the heroine's father has this thing about Windex being a universal cure-all).
