I bought my first two bras in Sweden this week and I am shocked at how happy I am. My friend has a Mary's Collection catalog that I looked through so I went to their web page (http://www.maryscollection.se) and did some ordering. They had a bra size calculator so I did some measuring and inputted my numbers and came up with a size that I never would have guessed. When the bras arrived yesterday I was really mad b/c they had the US size inside and they were totally not the size bra I wear. Then I tried them on and experienced heaven! I've been wearing the wrong bra size my whole life. I'm just very pleased at how this turned out and decided I had to post about it. There were also some very nice plus sized clothes on the website and I would go crazy buying them if it wasn't for the whole issue of saving money for our wedding in May.
Now that I know my proper bra size, maybe I better make a post in the health and fitness section asking about breast reduction surgery in Sweden. . .

Leslie once had a whole website devoted to that subject. Still there, Les?
And I thought Mary's was quite reasonable when I looked at their catalog too.

Good news, Carrie!
Actually, 75-80% of all women are currently wearing the wrong bra size/style. I worked for years at Victoria's Secret (way back when it was still romantic- not sleazy like it has become after being sold), and have fitted more women for bras than I can count! If your bra is uncomfortable, you are wearing the wrong bra. You shouldn't be able to 'feel' your bra at all
When all my favorite bras from VS finally bit the dust I found a style I liked at Twillfit, and bought like eight of the same style! Unfortunately that style has been discontinued. Sigh. If it ain't broke don't fix it, right?

Just had to share my "little" experience. I'm not joking but I'm even smaller than an A! I have never purposely worn the wrong size, they just never made them small enough for adults!
I'm proud to say after going in for the umpteenth time for help with my "small" problem, the sales clerk said I have just the bra for you! It's an adult bra, but looks like a training bra (the cups are closer together in a training bra). It is all one piece, made of a stretch material and soooo comfortable! So for anyone that's a AA or nearly A, try this style!

Yay! I am definitely going to check out Mary's Collection! (And I wouldn't mind some info on breast reduction in Sweden, either!)

Pam, your posting made me laugh. A good laugh too! One thing I am a bit surprised about bras here in Sweden, is that so many of them have a seam in the middle from the bottom to the top. With so many of the skimpy and tight clothes being worn here, you'd think they'd want seamless bras. I work at Lindex and we have a large selection at the store I work at, and yet out of say 100 styles, there are probably 4 that are seamless in the front. I don't like the sewing seam line going down the front. While I was in the US this past time I bought some bras, and it was really easy to find bras without the down-the-front seam. Does anyone know if this is a favored style here with the seam, or do most people not particularly care here about it?

I’m in the very same “small” situation as Brady and have bought the same kind bra as she has mentioned. I even have “spaghetti strap stretch undershirts for ladies” for those casual days. Our local clothing store had a sale “going out of business” and found both the bras and undershirts there… this is the line I bought (http://www.nilina.nu/java.html) Brandy what was the store you bought yours from? Was it from a major department store or a boutique? … I’m in the need of a few soon. ;D www.nilina.nu/java.html

I hate that seam across the middle too. Last bra I bought in Sweden was from the Ellos catalog. I was positive from the picture and the description that it was seamless. Wrong. That leaves me still looking for a good seamless bra here.

I still can´t believe that in the majority of Swedish shops I´ve looked in the largest cup size they have is a D. No good if you´re well endowed

Another Swedish brand is Swegmark. They are a bit more expensive though and not real sexy but funtional.
Thankfully Lindex has changed some of their bra sorts, at least at the larger stores they have. We have now got in a lot more "seamless" (no middle seam down front) than ever before. They still aren't as many as I would like, but it's nice to see they're moving in the right direction.
Not trying to make a plug for Lindex though. I am starting to feel as much (as I talk about them) like I am selling Amway...
