Okay, we're newly back here in town, our cable is screwed up (for the whole area apparently, not just us) and I haven't a clue what's on TV anymore. I'm not talking about those stupid reality TV programs like Baren, but amusing programs like the one they used to have about the three brothers in Jämtland with the ski lift or that one about a grocery store near Göteborg, where the helper, Edwin, used to be trying to hide his bootleg all over the place.
I did manage to catch Antligen Hemma and När o Fjärren the other night, which are two of my favorites. I love the do it yourself and gardening shows.
Any good suggestions?

How about the cooking show "Mat" on Mondays on TV1 ? It´s my favourite and my sambo also like to watch it and practise on his Swedish. ;D

Is that the one with that lady, Tina, from Skåne? It's sometimes a little hard to understand her, but I like her open, sometimes childlike enjoyment of what she does.

Yes that´s her. Maybe she´s hard to understand because of her accent (skånska) ? ;D I like her too because she loves what she´s doing. I wish I could feel the same enthusiasm when it comes to cooking.

Now if we could just get our cable working AND get them to put on Foodtv from the States, I would be a happy woman. I miss Emeril Lagasse already. "It's a pork fat thing".

I think Hipp Hipp is the funniest show on TV!!!!! I'm not a TV watcher but I am so hung up on that show. I just about LMAO last night! Anyone else out there who watches this?
Värsta språket is another good show, I think.

Saw Värsta Språket and enjoyed that, although one doesn't always understand it, and I think we saw a bit of Hipp Hipp last night, if it included some guy dressed in bondage stuff imitating a German trying to lure people into sex shows.

TV-1 had the funniest British show on last night called "Barbara", has anyone seen that? we both enjoyed it a great deal.
Also, now that our cable is working, I am totally devoted to a show called "Time Team", which is a BBC production on the Discovery Channel every night at 7 p.m. Using modern methods, a team of trained archaeologists excavates a different site. So far, I've seen a Roman villa, a medieval castle, some Iron Age settlements, a medieval leper hospital and burial ground and tonight, they went to Denia, Spain and helped with some excavations from the Islamic period of Spanish history. Incredibly fascinating, and even showing the disappointments, as well as the successes.

If I could do uni over again I would SO be an archeologist

I know, that was the first thing ever I wanted to be, at 10 years old. I even collected archaeology pamphlets and read weird stuff. BUT I couldn't pass the maths and science to get into university, so I didn't go until late in life (26), by which time, I'd gotten hooked on medieval history.
BUT if we lived in England, I'd be volunteering to muck around anywhere they'd let me, rain, mud, slop and all.
