Has everyone gone into hibernation over there? Frozen to death. No exciting Christmas presents? No great New Year's parties to talk about?
57 days and counting!

I've been looking and reading here (but I'm not in hibernation in Sweden--wish I was *snap*) Congratulations Carolyn on your 57 days and counting on going back! I hope the days go fast for you.

*hack, hack, cough, cough, aaaa-CHOO* I'm sick and freezing. It's below zero f here. Mats just went out to fix the heater, which stopped in the night. I guess if he can brave that I can get dressed and go to town with him....and maybe return the exciting Christmas gift....I already had one. We're counting with you Carolyn.

I've been working. So far it has been nothing but returns and exchanges at the store. Not to mention a big sale, so we've been busy. I start school soon though and will work only 15-20 hours a week then.

For the Canadian Soul? I didn't know that there was a Canadian version of that series. Do Canadians have different souls from other people? Hee Hee. My stepmom is Canadian, a truly wonderful lady too.

I moved from Oregon to Kiruna in Sept. 2001. I think I'm adjusted. Sorta.

My life has been so sedate and boring that I haven't had a single thing to share. No exciting Christmas gifts (my big gift was a copy of Prey by Michael Crichton which I really, really enjoyed but had devoured within 16 hours of recieving it). I did get a set of earplugs from my mom, and that really excited me, but I don't think many other people would find that exciting.
We had a very small New Year's party--just me, Mike, and a family (with their two kids). We watched Beauty and the Beast twice, which was intersting since I have seen it a million and a half times in English but never in Swedish. We had a great fireworks show, though it was way too cold and too dangerous to go outside for it. There was a drunk guy and his family setting off fireworks in the parking lot across the street. I thought we were going to have to call 112. He didn't get the hanging of making them go up in the air, so it was pretty dangerous looking.
That's about it. The cold snap here is preventing us from going out much. We did venture to the video store last night, only to discover that the movie we rented had no audio. Mike was insane--we went back to the store to see if they had a different copy, but they didn't. I say he was insane b/c I think it is insane to go out for any but the most dire of reasons when the thermometer reads -30°C.<br> And that's it.
