Maybe we should start a list that we can add to...things we crave. Mine today is Fritos. I REALLY want some. Before I went to US last time I was craving bean dip. Now let me tell you, I can't remember how many years it had been since I tried bean dip but I do remember that I didn't like it. Well, while I was staying at my mom's house I bought some. When I opened it her cat went nuts. Vegetarians take note....cats do not go berzerk over plain old beans with no meat. Anyway I had about two bites and was looking forward to really digging in when the phone rang. I sat it down and when I looked around the cat had his fat head in the can lapping it up. I never had a chance to get more while I was there so my craving has yet to be satisfied.

I moved from Oregon to Kiruna in Sept. 2001. I think I'm adjusted. Sorta.

I've been craving a Burrito Machacho (beef burrito smothered with a tomatillo based sacue) from my favorite restaurant. I don't even get to have one when I go home, b/c my hometown is 8 hours away from the place I last lived. I was trying to convince Mike that we should drive from Portland to Astoria (2 hours) so I could have one, then drive down to Klamath Falls (8 hours), but he wasn't buying it. Now I'm trying to convince him that we should go to Astoria for our honeymoon (though after living there 3 years, I don't see why anyone would go on a honeymoon there ) Also, lately I've been craving tuna salad made with sweet pickles. This is a truly bizarre craving b/c I HATE tuna fish. I haven't eaten it since I was 7 years old, so I don't know what's wrong with me. I don't even know if tuna or sweet pickles are avialable here, and I don't think I'll be pursuing the craving b/c one part of my brain gets nauseous at the thought. And how about a big old pot of rotel with velveeta? Yum. Carrie

I think one of the few things I will truly miss when I get back and I haven't seen at Grey's yet is Fritos. I love those salty corn crunchies. Or a Frito pie, a bowl of Fritos with taco meat and grated cheese and black olives, and just to up the fat content a little, I pour over Catalina dressing, mmmmmmmm. Anders loathes it.

I truly miss rotel dip, it's not a wild craving. Back in Tennesse it's not taco pie we have with Fritos, it's chili pie. Sonic serves it. Fritos, chili and cheese. Heart attack anyone?

Carolyn, you haven't seen Fritos at Grey's yet because they are always sold out! We have bought them a few times - along with Doritos!

Hmmm....cravings... lately I have had cravings for red hots candy and chocolate covered cherries. I never really liked the cherries but I am craving them. I saw them in an ÖoB ad the other day, but couldn't find them in the store. Oh and donuts! I drive Tor nuts with it...he goes downstairs to get a drink and asks me if I want anything and I say, "yeah bring me a donut". He just gives me this look. Those are about the only things, but now that I start thinking of it I could drive myself crazy with the things I would love to have right now! Papa John's breadsticks with sauce, a good sausage biscuit, grape nuts cereal, wolf brand chili..... okay I must stop now! HA!

Fritos in Halmstad? Yessss! Hey, I know where the Asian Food Store is on the corner. Are there any others? And the Arabic food stores, where are they located? I haven't even checked out Netto yet. But ask me about the new Maxi and Willy's. LOVE them.
