After that low blow last Monday, today we got an e-mail from the lady we had been corresponding with all this time at Migrationsverket. You remember, the one who kept telling us "No problem", when we were trying to make sure my having this job in the States wuold be okay.
She is no longer our case worker, she's been promoted, but she reiterated what she said in her previous e-mails, i.e., come on back home on a tourist visa and apply again in Örebro. Which is what we were going to do anyway, but at least now we have it twice, printed out with the time and date, etc., so I'm breathing a little easier about the prospect of being tossed out on my butt next spring.
Especially since my job will be over here, the house we're living in won't be available after the end of February, the car I've been using also goes away and all my clothes and paperwork, etc., basically my whole life is in Sweden.
