I just had to share my good news with you...
After almost 3 years in Sweden, I not only have 1, but 2 permanent, full-time job offers!
Last week I went to Amsterdam for a job interview. The job is an IT Support Engineer at a company that is opening a second European office in Åmål. They offered me a job at 500kr more than my current salary (a temp postion until Christmas). The only drawback is a 1.5 hour daily commute (round trip).
After I got back from the interview, my current boss said that he is, in fact, able to hire me permanently beginning in January. We discussed the particulars and he is offering me 2,000kr more per month than he is currently paying me. Needless to say, I will stay where I am at (even though I find the other job more exciting and challenging). It's less than a 10 minute walk from home and more money!
So, folks, hang in there... there is light at the end of the tunnel!

! It's about 45 minutes down the roaqd from us. Nothing special... except that our tax office is there.
