1) Natooke, thanks for sharing, and you're not losing your mind. Others here have posted under the wrong subject, it's easy to do.

2) I'm sorry you had to go through all that with your son, but I'm glad that things seem to be mending.

3) Don't worry about the negativity showing. We at this forum have NEVER said everything is 100 percent in Sweden and we're not a bunch of Pollyannas all the time. Life in general is tough, and with the different culture, it's even tougher. All of us here have had our share of whining and downright bitching and sometimes, that's what you really need to be able to get on with things.

The whole point here with the "Positively" in the name is to realize that continuing to bitch and whine day after day, month after month is not healthy and not going to help. You come here, say what you have to say and if any of us can, we'll try to help and if we can't help, we'll listen and try to understand and at least, if nothing else, you've in the middle of a collective group hug. It's only that "nothing is right here, nothing is good here, the whole of Sweden and the Swedes suck" attitude that is discouraged, mostly because it just isn't so.

I can't wait till we get together next summer and we can all talk face to face and hopefully continue to build up this strong network of forward-lookign people.

I’m really looking forward too … building on to a sisterhood of forward-looking people has been long over due for me.

Amerikanska is a good site and there are lots of nice people there. That's actually where we "founders" of Postively Sweden met. But what you have to realize is often the most vocal (or verbal?) people are those that have an axe to grind. Most often, those that are satisfied with their lives tend to sit back and not post a whole lot.
