I would hope that those of you in Sweden who are eventually planning on walking down the aisle will remember me when it comes time for that all-important dress, rather than toss your money at a total stranger who doesn't even KNOW you.
I will be returning to Sweden with a huge selection of both conventional wedding dress patterns, as well as some more fantasy oriented gowns that would be gorgeous as a wedding dress (Titanic style, Renaissance princess, Elizabethan queen), in a variety of sizes from 4 (is ANYBODY REALLY a 4???) all the way up to 26W.
Yes, I know this is kind of a commercial, but hey, it's among friends, and I KNOW some of you have thought about marriage already, so I thought I should slip a word in.
I can also alter AND make patterns from scratch, if you know what you want, but just haven't seen it yet.

What a wonderful business idea, Carolyn!!
As someone who often has dealings with prospective brides, I can tell you that the nonchalance encountered in many bridal shops, plus lack of desirable dresses (ESPECIALLY larger sizes) is a MAJOR concern!!
Again, what a great idea, and good luck when the time comes!

yes that is a wonderful idea, I would like to do something like that too, only I am no good with needle and thread, or with a machine, I would like to help some other way, maybe giving ideas on how to decorate or something like that..... I have been married for a year and I still think of my wedding, all the time my mum spent with the decoration and the cake and the things and also of course the wedding dress, which in fact was not a real wedding dress, just a simple white dress for the proms, but it was very beautiful. Perhaps I will be able to post a picture of me in it some day, just have to figure out how to do that, so you can see what it looked like

Well, I am not planning to get married soon, because I feel that I am still to young but it may come in handy some day. I would love a corset though. The ones I have ordered online are not at all the same quality as something that is made by hand.

I've already got your preferences down and will bring back some cobalt blue satins and brocades and we can see which you prefer.
