As you all have travelled from the States or Canada to Sweden, I am guessing that some of you have also been in other countries of the world....
Now, I have a dream of going to Ireland! I loooooooove Ireland, has anyone ever been there? If this is the case, where have you been? I would like to see a place called County Cork, has anyone been there??

I myself have been to all but 6 of the United States. I lived in England for nearly 5 years and in Sweden for a total of 3 years, two times.
I have visited extensively France and Spain (mostly Catalunya) and have visited to some degree Italy, Holland and Greece. I've also spent week-ends in Oslo, Norway, Helsinki, Finland (loved it) and Juarez, Mexico.
Places I DEARLY want to visit include Japan, India, Republic of Ireland, St. Petersburg, Russia, Poland, Petra and Samarkand (just because of the name, doesn't it sound magical?).

I've never been to Ireland either, although I would love to visit sometime. I've traveled some over the years, and will be going to Bali this January. I would also love to visit St. Petersburg, Eygpt (Anders has been there 4 times!) many countries in Asia, and travel around Europe. I also want to go to Alaska someday.

Oh that`s really cool! I have been to alot of places in Europe such as Denmark, Germany, France, Italy, Holland, Switzerland, Portugal and of course Spain, both North and South, where I also have my roots. I also have a few places I would like to see: Canada and perhaps also North Carolina, if I can get there some day and Ireland and Scotland, those are the places I can think of at the moment I have also been to England, to London! Looooooove England! Where in it did you live, Carolyn? I have been for a week in London and Im dying to go back!!

I lived in Luton, which is about a 40 minute train ride north of London and I commuted to work in London every day. I was in an office on Old Bond Street about two blocks up from Piccadilly and I LOVED it. I've also spent lots and lots of time traveling throughout much of England (never Scotland unfortunately). Last time I wsa there in '95, I rented a car for 2 weeks and went to all those little out of the way places I've always wanted to go to and you have to have a car to see.
Why North Carolina? Not that it's not a beautiful state, I used to holiday there as a child, but it's not on most people's lists of places to go to first.

Ireland is great! Although I've only ever been to Dublin for a long weekend, I would highly recommend it. The people are just so friendly, welcoming and warm (just like my fellow Scots!)
I'm definitely going back there for another adventure.

Well Carolyn, I cant say if I have been close to your job or not since I dont remember the names of the streets very well ( I have a serious problem with directions hehe) but other than that I agree with you, London is a wonderful place and I would have loved it too if I had been there working and living! The one week I was there I loooved it! Well simply because my father in law´s new wife is from there, she is still living there and I would like to see her some day ( I have not yet had the chance to go to Canada for a visit to the inlaws, she is the only one living outside of Canada at the moment. She is also my only American relative).

Hello Lisa! How nice to hear you liked it so much! Are you Irish in some way, like ancestors or such? I would love to go there some day, see Dublin of course and then of course County Cork! I would also like to go to Scotland, which is the land of my husband´s ancestors, the legendary MacDuibh ( Mac Duff) clan! There is a castle there that is part of the family history, but it is just ruins today, although, it is still a castle and we even have a family ghost
