Hey all, teacherĀ“s back with a new question, this one for you out there with kids in pre-school or school! Are they in a public Swedish school? How are they getting the English language, only from you at home or as Mother Tounge at school? Is there anyone with kids in an International School? If so, what was the main reason for putting them there? Just curious as I will be raising biliguals as well!

My 5 year old is in Swedish daycare and gets English only at home. He seems to do just fine! ;D

Ours too ... I've bought all sorts of tapes & a few CD roms too. I do read to them a fare amount, which seems to help my oldest the most ... he's 8. My youngest (5) miss chatter box can switch from English to Swedish with no difficulties. I would like to expose them to more english (expat play groups etc) , but because I'm in the country I'm still the only main "english" speaker for them.

Ok that sounds good! Im just thinking for when we have our own little family, I would like for the kids to have English and Spanish just as I had Swedish and Spanish when growing up! I havent ever been to an international school myself but I could imagine to put my kids in one, so I just wanted to see what you had to say....
