Get rid of the annoying pop up ads!

Some of you may have seen that Carolyn and I were talking about paying a small fee each month to keep the ads from popping up here, but I found out there are programs you can download to keep that from happening.

So I got one this morning and have used it throughout the day and guess what....absolutely no pop up ads! And the great thing is it is Freeware! Here is the address to download it if you are interested downloads-zdnet.com.com/3000-2366-10048866.html

Sadly it is only for the windows platform, but I will search around to see if I can find an equally good program for other platforms!

Hmm...not having that much luck locating a similar program for Mac...though for all I know Mac might have something like that built in? Or maybe you know of better search engines for Mac freeware.

I never did find anything similar for platforms other than Windows.

Though this one I downloaded for windows is still working like a charm!!

Has anyone else downloaded it? It is totally free.

I downloaded it and am totally loving it. Years and years ago when I first got connected to the 'net I had a similar program but it totally disabled java script, which was not acceptable at all. I got rid of it and never looked into anti-pop-up software again. I'm really glad you posted about this one b/c it doesn't seem to have any other ill effects on my computer. Definitley a keeper.
