I don't like too many Swedish shows, but I like the one where they have the two guys playing the piano, and an two music artists with each and they compete to guess the songs. I find that one fun. But there are so many other fun shows on that we never see it! My daughter loves Charmed or Förhäxad on Sundays at seven. Then there's Extreme Home make-over on Mondays, Fear Factor on Tues. and Wed. I like my Oprah and Dr. Phil.
But all this is torture because I'm trying to get the kids to stop watching TV!.
We are reading books together now, but have a hard time letting go of the above mentioned.

I love the Extreme Home Makeover show as well, not to be confused with the other Extreme Makeover show which is for plastic surgery.

Gröna Rummet of course and Snacka om nyheter, when it is on, even though I don't always understand some of the jokes, Full Frys, although they are repeats evidently, and I can't remember the name of that sit com with the three brothers who are running a ski lift and making bootleg up in Jämtland, but it's very amusing.
Mostly, I like a LOT of the documentaries that I've seen so far. There was an amazing one called Vattens Riket, about the bird sanctuary down around Kristianstad that took the guy four years to film for one hour. There was another one involving a man who went back to farming in the old style down in Småland and totally revived his land and the wildlife around him. That one moved me to tears. And Arns Riket, of course, with Jan Gillou was very good.
Actually, we probably only have the TV on now for an hour a day if that, and that's usually for the news. Probably once winter is here, we'll be watching a little more.

Carolyn, yeah I knew there was something else I wanted to watch out for, I also like that Snacka om Nyheter. That's a good one to see if the kids really understand the news they've read. (I'm trying to get my kids interested in current events.)
Those other shows sound great. I hope they'll be repeated during the winter.

I don't really like any Swedish shows either except for one.
High Chaparall. I love that show to death and I watch it religiously. It just makes me laugh.
I know some people think it's really stupid and low-brow. But I don't really care. I can't wait for the new season to start!
There are tons of American shows I like of course. And I'd die without BBC Prime. I have that one on all the time.

I've never seen High Chaparell. I have heard people talk about it a lot though. What channel?

Channel 5. It is a great show, too. Mostly in English, interviewing american actors, but they do speak a little swedish. So FUNNY!

It's these two Swedes, Fredrik and Filip, who spend a few days with and interview b-rate celebrities. It's sooooo funny. The did it in the States for the apst 2 seasons, but the new season is going to be in Europe. I hope it's as good.
I actually walked right by Fredrik and Filip this summer here in Stockholm up by S:t Eriksplan. They were sitting at a cafe and I almost stopped to tell them how much I loved their show but I didn't. I always say really stupid things at those times LOL But actually, Fredrik called my friend who works at Grey's to ask some stuff about cranberry juice becasue Fabio is going to be on the show again this season. I'm sure it's probably be a hillarious episode :-D But I think they are filming now so I don't know when the new season starts.

High Chaparall was very disappointing last night. It was with SteveO from MTV's Jack Ass series. That was definitely a low point for Fredrik and Filip.

I had never even heard of that High Chaparall show. It came on and I was too lazy to turn the tv off, så I watched part of it.
That was the dumbest show ever, EVER EVER.
Who is this Steve-O person? I had never even heard of him, but thought to myself *if I hear his stupid cacklelaugh one more time I am going to bitchslap him right on into next week'. And he was so stupid, too, I mean really... it's amazing he's a functioning human being with that kind of negative IQ. And he obviously has issues with his penis. Why else would he drag it out every 12 seconds and take pictures of it? My guess? Testosterone poisoning.
All of my fördomar about these kind of shows were bekräftade.

Sabeine, That was probably the worst show I ever saw. So you missed NOTHING! I completely agree Cake Guru about how bad it was, but give them another try. Fredrik and Filip are actually quite intelligent and very humorous.
They had said that they like to follow the star around in their typical day, and learn about the real person. They certainly did that day.
Cake Guru, please give them another try, I think you'd be pleasantly surprised that it's actually entertaining.
