Carolyn said today would be the earliest they could be home and that it would probably be next week after jet-lag and settling in before she's online again.

Just a quick message.. Talked to Carolyn last night.. they've got a couple of puter probs with the puter here, but Anders was working hard to correct them... Trip went fine, parts of it more fine than others, but they are home safe and unscathed from the journey. She said Arbetsförmedlingen and Migrationsverket were on the list after restocking cupboards, which the tennant left bare, but clean... I'm sure she'll be on soon*S* Will be fun to meet in realtime as soon as she's settled back in!!!

Does anyone have her adress? I have a package to send (that I was planning to send her in the states about a hundred years ago!) Or her phone! I would love to call her! You can send me a pm instead of posting it here!

K.. here's the skinny on the situation in Örebro!! Carolyn's just fine, THOUGH something on the freezer was beeping when we talked... Anders was fixing that... And Sandy aka Sandikins is on the way to the puter rescue... stay tuned.. they'll probably have it worked out by sunset? what do ya think???
March winds in Örebro are relentless and not giving away to gentle April rains... hope some of you are at least FEELING like it's warmer? saw some rotton white stuff between Gävle and Stockholm yesterday... Spring will come*S*

ALL RIGHTY!!!!!! Thanks to the incredible selflessness and combined hard work of Sandy and her dear husband, Leo. we are back on line. I called Sandy this a.m. to say hey howdy, and can you talk me through a re-format when you have the time. She said no problem, but it would probably be tomorrow since she and Leo were on their way to Karlstad, about an hour and a half away to visit his mom. Well, next thing, I go out for some bullar and when I get home, Anders informs me that they will be arriving sometime this evening if that's okay. Apparently, mom was on a train elsewhere and they felt an urge for an out of town experience. Apparently, it was some kind of a virus, accompanied by tons of porn sites and spyware and stuff, so they ended up wiping out the system and reinstalling stuff. I can't get over sometimes how kind so many people are and how willing to put themselves out to help others. This is the second time Sandy has come to the virus rescue for us. although the last time, we didn't have the pleasure of her company, and this time, we got to meet Leo too. SANDY AND LEO RULE!!!!!

Welcome home Carolyn and Anders!!!! I'm glad you're home and back online and that you got a visit and help from Sandy and Leo. Hope you're settling back in okay. How 'bout this wind?? In Tennessee March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb. Here it went out like a flying elephant. It's been so windy it looks like we've spent the entire weekend raking the yard. I'm not complaining about that. A couple of days ago we had a double rainbow. It's been years since I've seen that. Winter is really on the way out.

I just had to get out of the house!! Thankfully, I was able to get my anti-social Swede to meet my friends! By the time we got done talking with Carolyn and Anders, it was nearly 10:30PM. While we were out looking for a hotel, a terrible fire in a tire warehouse broke out and the hotels were't letting their patrons outside because of the smoke and fumes. We ended up hightailing it to Karlstad for the night.
It's always a pleasure to meet up with friends all over this country.
Sandy ;D
