Well, folks, I'm on my last week here and things have gone crazy as usual, so I'm not going to be here much for the next week, and then I have nearly a week in London with my darling. so we'll see you guys around the 23rd. Same goes for my ICQ buds!

Okay, so I'll be incommunicado tomorrow, but I just had to share. We did a test run on the file conversions today to get the tapes in a format that would work for me AND IT WORKED!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Happy dancing.
Not only that, but we found that even reducing from a 128 kbps to 24 kbps still kept the sound understandable and slashed the size of each file by about 400 percent or better. Oh, this is going to be so cool, and I'm going to be earning real money!

The program that does the recording is called "Recorder" (how original, don't you think?) and then they're using MusicMatch to convert.
