Anybody using this? I am so frustrated at the moment. I have used WP for years and was using it in the States, but the minute I started typing today, things are appearing that I am not sure how to get rid of.
I am doing a legal format for a trial, where I have to do, one tab, Q:, another tab, start typing and the text should wrap around to the far left margin. Instead, it's creating an indent after the Q: and continuing with an indent and it shows on View that somehow a style has been created and I don't know how to get rid of that so I can have my old format back.
Secondly, when I want to do the next paragraph, which should be A: for the answer, instead it automatically continues with the alphabetical lettering and gives me an R.
I'm having to manually go back and change each one of these, which is eating up my time royally. Anybody know how I can get out of this and back to my old style?

I am not familiar with WordPerfect at all.
Next get another word processor.

Try to find a "Tools" area. There is some auto-formatting going on that you need to turn off. Word does it, too.

Hi Carolyn, Sorry for not replying sooner--just got back from attending my son's wedding in Colorado on the 21st (it was beautiful, btw). Glad you made it back to Sweden and are getting settled in again with your new job in-tow.
You can ask me questions about WP 9-10 any time (and some Word problems too), and I'd be glad to help! I hope you got it figured out, but if not, you might want to try below as a solution to the formatting. As you know I work with lawyers and legal transcription and stuff every day too ;-)
Sandy was correct. You have some automatic formatting going on. My suggestions are: Tools Quick Correct Format-As-You-Go Be sure to UN-check

arrrrgh...sorry about that ....I hit a tab and it posted... I'll try again: Tools Quick Correct Format-As-You-Go be sure to UN-check the boxes that are Quick Bullets & Outline Quick Indent
that should solve the automatic outlining problems you were having.
if you want the paragraph to be indented/blocked use the F7 key (instead of the tab for the first line of transcription thereafter--which I'm sure you know).
Would love to hear more about how you got your people set up with the tapes to MP3 files--I'd love to be away from the office doing such. Right now I'm working 2 jobs for the law school, day/night. One setting up a new program in London--though I will remain state-side.
Anyway, hope it helps. You can send me an email with questions anytime (do you still have my addy?) Let me know if you don't.
Take care and best wishes for both you and Anders now that you're back in Sweden.

That was precisely it, thanks a million, Linda! I NEVER would have looked there. Sandy was here the other day and did a bit of browing, but had to hurry on the road to IKEA. Getting the company to send me the sound files wasn't hard, it was teaching them how to do it when they are scared of computers. Also, it is critical they get on ADSL to speed things up, and that will be installed for them next week. There is a more detailed explanation, I think, in the job opportunites section here. And no, I don't still have your email address. I keep managing to lose things like that.
