Okay, ladies, I realize it's not heavy metal (unless you count the horns), but this time of year, Sweden positively is LOADED with wonderful concerts at VERY cheap prices. No, it's not Globen either, but it's affordable.
The Swedes are incredibly musical and to a VERY high degree. Tonight, we went to our parish church where the Svenska Barockorchestern, along with the church choir, was doing Bach's Mass in B Minor. We paid 80 SEK each, had great seats, listened to sublime music in the type of church it was originally written for and came away after 2 hours of lovely music feeling great.
Here in Örebro over the next two months, we are going to go hear some Celtic music, definitely Handel's Messiah, some Jul and Lucia concerts and a Glenn Miller concert. These are not a bunch of hack amateurs putting on a little show, but really great musicians and great music.
It's not all classical, there's big band, Celtic, folk, jazz, blues, and unless you're living in a miniscule village, it's available to the masses (us).
Where to find? Get your local newspapers and look at the ads for concerts at churches mostly, although a lot of towns have concert halls as well. Here the first week in December, there's also going to be a long Saturday for the first of Advent, and there are groups performing for free in Stortorget and elsewhere.

In Stockholm one can find a lot of ads for upcoming events in the back of the newspaper Metro. Many of the ads are for Julbord and such, but there are several for theatrical productions, that cost either a small fee, or nothing at all.
