Have you made New Years plans? Are you spending the evening with cozy with your SO, or having a dinner party? Going out? We ended up on the short end of the stick last year. We had invited another couple over for dinner, and then the husband became ill, so that couple cancelled. It was then that we decided that this year, we'd do something different. This year we're planning to go to a restaurant and entertainment (show) place, and night club here in Stockholm. It's called Grand Garbo named for Sweden's own Greta Garbo. It's a rather large place, but it's in a nice location and not so far from our place. I really wanted an excuse to dress up this year, and now I just might have one!

Gosh, I don't even have any definite plans for Jul yet, much less New Year's. But now that you got me started, maybe a Silja Line cruise to Helsinki or something, if we can stir our butts!
We're not even sure if we can have Karin with us this Jul. She went to London in September and got a job at FCUK in Selfridges, so she's just started to work, and her boss there, who really likes her, is moving to another store on New Bond Street and wants Karin to transfer with her for a better opportunity and more money, so this is really NOT the time, especially in the retail trade, where you just pick up and say, "I'm taking Christmas off." Kalle did when he worked in London, but then he wasn't very involved in his job anyway and once he came back to Sweden, he just didn't return to London, but I think Karin really intends to stick out the year and I think she's got a pretty good life over there as well, now that she's got the settling part out of the way.
Normally, we have the kids here Julafton, which has been a tradition since Anders and his ex divorced, and then the kids go with her to their morfar and mormor's on Juldag and spend time there as well. This year, we may just have Karl, and that will be good too. Anders does the cooking, although I'm planning on doing a turkey breast with stuffing and a pecan pie myself to add to the festivities.
