I have been feeling some weird bumps in my breasts. What's odd is that some days I can feel the lumps, then other days I can't. My breasts feel painful sometimes though it is not a stabbing pain, more like an ache. It is not the time of the month. I thought it was because I was getting older and had (sadly) gained some weight, does anyone know about this?
I am 32 so I shouldn't be a likely candidate for cancer, but I have heard of women that got breast cancer in their 20's and 30's so I cannot be certain.
I will make a doctor's appt I just wondered if someone else here on this site has had a similar experience? Could it possibly be a cyst of some kind?

I really have no idea, but if it's different than you are used to it's nothing to play around with. I'd call a doctor.

well i have fibroid cystic breast disease and they said it was cause on one part from going up in weight, consuming too much caffeine and the rest they just dont know why women get it. i have over 30 lumps in one breast and i do get regular mammographs done ( like every 6 months) and i do see a surgeon so he can tell if the lumps have changed over the months. i had the first lump when i was 29 and it freaked me out but i had a good dr. who took care of me right away..
i wanted them removed but they are not willing to right now as they are not cancer and they dont know if they will ever become it. but i recommend that you go see the dr. and request controls on the. and yes they do hurt and hurt more ususally when i am ovulating, not when having my mens.. and i tend to get pain in my underarm from them too. good luck and i hope that is is nothing serious.

Thanks for the reponses Sandy and Crankody. Crankody, your symptons sound very similar to what I am experiencing. Have you sometimes felt a strange pain in just a tiny area, as if someone briefly poked you with a toothpick? This happens to me about once a week or so. The lumps are a bit strange since I don't know what to really look for. Also the lumps seem to come and go like I feel them more some days than others. It could be from weight gain, and I quit smoking 1.5 years ago which could have something to do with it. I will have a check up I just wanted to get some info if someone else has had a similar experience. thanks!

yes the pain does come and go but also, you have heard of the burning bush? well i have the burning boob! they cannot tell me why they (well mostly one) burns, but i find it very tiresome at times. but again, go to the dr. to rule out anything else.
