We always talk about spring cleaning, but I find there is as much, if not more, to do in the fall here in Sweden. Yesterday I got all my halloween decorations put away, today we prepared our boat for the winter. During the week we have to buy and put on the winter tires. I'd like to start decorating for Thanksgiving. (We have some really cute AnnaLee pilgrim dolls, plus some stuffed animal turkeys and books that I usually pull out. We also have to prune the trees yet, put away the trampoline and cut up the firewood! I'm finally feeling better after that operation three months ago, and can finally start really contributing to daily tasks. We've done so much I just can't get over it! But we have so much to go! (It piles up after three years of being lazy and only one person contributing to the chores.) It's amazing what one can do when they don't sleep all day! (Which I haven't done now for about 6 months!) And to think, all it took was a simple D&C and hysterectomy! What are you guys up to?

Wow Brandy! I'm exhausted just reading about all that you have achieved. It is amazing what a difference balancing your hormones makes to your outlook and energy levels. I'm so pleased that thid has helped you regain life. I feel quite lazy by comparison. We have also got our boat on land and have been busy stripping it (where did all that junk come from?) and trying to find space to store it all for the winter. We don't do Halloween (not done in Oz and my guy disapproves of it ) so no decorations to worry about. However, this year for the first time we are going to a Thanksgiving dinner with a lovely Swedish-American family in Skåne, so we are really looking forward to that. Apart from the usual maintenance on our home, we haven't done too much clearing away - that's more of a spring thing for us. My husband gets badly affected by Seasonal Affective Disorder, so I try and not put too much pressure on him to work. He is much more motivated to do so when the weather is fine and days getting longer. Just lately, I've been Christmas shopping for family back home. Surface mai postage to Australia in time for Christmas closes on Non. 19th, so I haven't much time.

We still have traces of remodeling junk around but the house looks pretty good. We've had guests the past two weekends. Since they don't have Thanksgiving here I usually make that meal a week before Christmas on my birthday. This year I combined it with Halloween instead. We had guests over to help us eat it yesterday but I must say, they didn't eat nearly enough! We've got so much left-over. That's always part of the tradition in my family anyway. Now that Thanksgiving is officially done I can start on my favorite....Christmas! We wish we HAD a boat to take care of. I'm glad you're feeling better Brandy but you didn't have to let the whole family in on it just in time for Fall cleaning! ;D I've been learning about hormones and trying different essential oil blends to help keep mine balanced. I'm, grudingly, getting to the age where I need to know about them plus am diabetic and insulin is also a hormone. Does anyone have secret tips on keeping them in balance?

Sorry Pam, no tips on keeping those hormones in balance! Maybe there are some helpful Web sites? Well, we still haven't pruned the trees, (my MIL won't like that! ), we still haven't taken in the trampoline or cut up the firewood yet! This is our usual pace - tons of things to do and nothing gets taken off the list. I STILL have Halloween decorations hanging around. Don't you hate that? You think you've gotten them all and lo and behold there's another thing in the cellar, the window apliques in the kids rooms, and worst of all - the kitchen table cloth! See it every day, and haven't thought twice about it! Black cats, witches and jack-o-lantern's are a little strange now! My husband left on a PLEASURE! trip to China today. He won one of those lottery's at work. Unfortunately, no family allowed to tag along. My children and I laid the best guilt trip we could on him, and he still wouldn't let us go. Something fishy going on there! Before he left, I told him I'm glad he gets to go for fun for once. I hope he brings us back really good stuf from all the guilt he feels! Unfortunately there is a very strict weight allowance leaving China. Hope you guys are all doing well and having fun!

Brandy, I'm so happy to hear you're feeling so much better I say snip & prune those trees as much as you wish, november is still safe to do such things. Stacking fire wood in it's self is a huge job ... are you heating the house by these means? or is it for a fire place? Aussie, Sounds like a scraping party is needed ;D You'll both, if you haven't visited Skåne, enjoy the wide open space ;D it's to me ... like a mini version of home. Pam, Happy Birthday ;D

Hey Pam, I got a great Web Site for you to look at. It's called 35 symptoms of menopause. www.minniepauz.com/35symptoms.htmlIt seemed like they were selling some vitamins there. Check it out. But don't feel like a hypochondriac when you read the 35 symptoms. 23 of them are common for males or females to experience when they hit late 40's early 50's. I was experiencing 24 of them but they were to the extreme on the spectrum. Glad I'm over and done with it for a while, but it will start again for me too! (I kept my ovaries.) And I was only experiencing a premature premenopause brought on by my uterine difficulties, therefore not the real thing!
